It does get easier.....believe or not. I lost my dog Riley last September and although there are times I still cry, each day that goes by gets easier. In reading your post I too cried, because I do feel your pain. It is so hard to lose our children, no matter how long we've had them, nothing makes it easy. I pray that you find comfort in knowing where your Little Rag'o'Muffin is....and I take comfort in knowing that he is there with my "Riley boy". I too was not interested in getting another dog, but after awhile I was talked into doing so, so we adopted "Benny" from our local SPCA and he has helped to mend these broken hearts...no...he can't replace Riley, but he sure helps us to get up each morning and face another day with a smile on our face. There are more babies that need your love, so when the time is right, give another one a chance to love you too.
