Ah, Stumpy, I miss you so very much pal. It still hurts to walk into the house and NOT see you in your usual spots. It's still odd to eat a meal without your hopeful face gazing up waiting for something, anything to drop. It still breaks my heart afresh each time I visit your place in the backyard. Taking you to Dr. Gray's last Friday on your last carride,(and oh how you used to love carrides when you were a young guy), was the hardest 2 kms. I ever drove. In your way, your patient, noble way you had made it clear that it was Time. I knew that at 17 years old, every day with you was a bonus blessing, but I still wasn't ready. Is anyone, ever? But now, now I know that you are young again, you can run, jump, play again. You gave me 11 years of laughter and such love. I know that you'll be waiting when I catch up Mamma's Good Boy. Yours is the purest soul I have ever known. I was unworthy of such love from a fellow creature on earth; knowing this makes me all the more grateful for you. Love always. Mamma
